For most of us, we take for granted the fact that we can access a Bible in our own language. We probably have many Bibles on our bookshelves, not to mention the many electronic Bibles accessible online. Now we all know that the Bible is important. The Bible tells us the story of the Creator and his creation. It shares about the highs and lows of the human race. It shows us how much the Creator cares for each one of us and what he has done to save us. The Bible shares how Jesus, was born, lived, died and was raised from the dead. In the Bible, we learn that Jesus provides salvation and eternal life to all who believe.
But not everyone around the world has access to the Bible. Consider the people in the world around us

Today there are more than 3,000 language groups with little or no access to Scripture, and about 2,000 of those don’t have a single verse of Scripture in the language they best understand. Over the last two hundred years of Bible translation much has been accomplished to provide Bibles to most people groups around the world. But the work is not finished. People need to access the Scripture in their own language to help them understand the deep truths of God’s Word. We have mission partners involved in translating the Bible, in proclaiming the Good News of the Gospel, and in teaching the Bible to the nations so they can mature in their faith. Please pray for our mission partners actively bringing the Bible to the world.
