Over the last two years, the GC3 Board has been working through a process to ensure the organisation not only has a clear direction for the future but is appropriately resourced and staffed so that it can continue to serve New Zealand churches and our global mission partners effectively.
We are therefore pleased to advise that Michael Hanson has been appointed to take on the leadership of GC3. In mid-2022, Sefton Marshall will retire from his full-time role as Operations Director, but he has agreed to continue part-time, ensuring that we do not lose his many years of experience and knowledge. The Board acknowledges the many years of faithful service Sefton has provided to GC3 and is grateful that he has committed to staying on to assist Michael in the transition to his new role.
Michael comes to GC3 with many years of experience in pastoral ministry, theological education and Christian leadership. He will take up his new role in mid-February and we look forward to introducing him to you in more detail at that time.
In the meantime, we ask for your continued prayers as we seek to inspire, assist, and connect churches in God's mission.
