GC3 is pleased to introduce to you our new Youth Director, Matt Lister. Matt has officially started in the role and we are excited by the skills, enthusiasm and passion he brings.
Matt was born in Cape Town, South Africa and moved to Australia when he was eight years old. Although he grew up in Melbourne, his life has been full of travel. He studied at Harvest Bible College in Melbourne, where he graduated with a BA in Ministry.
Over the last couple of years he has been based in Chiang Rai, Thailand, as a full-time volunteer, working on the International Media & Marketing Team as the photographer for an anti-child-sex trafficking organisation. His work in Thailand saw him travel to surrounding nations numerous times, including to other parts of Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and India.
While in Thailand he met his now-wife, Holly. They were working for the same organisation, began a friendship which grew into a relationship and they eventually ended up working together as a photojournalism duo. They got married in 2019 after moving to Holly’s home base back here in New Zealand.
Matt has a love for analogue photography, music, philosophy, a passion for ethical practices, and a minor caffeine addiction.
As you can see, Matt is well suit for the role, and we welcome both Matt and Holly, into the GC3 family.
